Salvatore Borgese
General Manager – Commercial & Banking Services
Salvatore Borgese has been serving as Mooney’s General Manager – Commercial & Banking Services since January 2020.
Since 2017, he has held the position of Managing Director in Banca 5 (Intesa Sanpaolo Group). In 2012, Borgese started working for ICBPI (now Nexi) as Payment Services Director, while, at the same time, also serving as member on the boards of EPC (European Payments Council), ECC (European Clearing Cooperative), Bancomat, CBI, and CIPA.
In 2004, at Value Team – Value Partners Group (now NTT DATA), he was Senior Vice President and CEO in Financial Services. His professional career started off in Cassa di Risparmio di Torino (now UniCredit).
In 2009, he graduated with a Master’s Degree in International Executive Programme from INSEAD Business School. He is currently a member of the faculty at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan, teaching a Master’s Program in Digital Innovation & Fintech. Here, he also serves as a member of the Board for CeTIF Academy – Banking Division. Furthermore, he is a member of the APSP Board (Associazione Prestatori Servizi Pagamento – Payment Service Provider Association).
Francesco Maldari
General Manager – Payment Services & Operations
Francesco Maldari has been serving as Mooney’s General Manager – Payment Services & Operations since January 2020. He has been part of the Sisal Group since 2011, serving as Head of Strategy first and later, between 2016 and 2019, as Head of Payments & Services – Business Unit. Before that, he was Senior Finance Manager, CFO Deputy and Head of Billing, Working Capital, and SOX for British Telecom.
Between 2005 and 2010, he worked in several managerial positions in Business Development & Finance for strategic consulting agencies, such as Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, and for multinational groups, such as Bertelsmann.
He graduated in Nuclear Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Milan (Politecnico di Milano), and earned an MBA from the University of St. Gallen.
Marco Davide Festari
Chief Financial Officer
Marco Davide Festari graduated in Economics of Financial Markets & Institutions from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan. He worked in Accounting, Financial Management, and Control for international companies for four years. He has been working for Sisal since 2006, and has held many positions in Strategic Planning and Control, always actively contributing to the extraordinary operations in which our Group has been involved over the years. Acting as Head of M&A for two years, he has completed many acquisitions. He was instrumental to the development of the Business Unit – Payments & Services and to the establishment of our Payment Institution, serving as Finance & Planning Manager. Since January 2020, he has been CFO of the new Group, which he actively contributed to create.
Umberto Delzanno
Head of Corporate Legal Affairs
Umberto Delzanno graduated in Law from the Università degli Studi di Milano. Licensed in Forensic Practise, he has been part of the Italian Bar Association since 1989. Since 2002, he has been part of the Bar Association of the Supreme Court of Cassation.
In 2015, he started collaborating with Sisal at first as Coordinator and then as Head of Legal and Societal Affairs. In January 2016, he was also nominated Appointed Head of Anti-Laundering & Reporting of Suspected Operations.
In December 2016, he was appointed member of the Board of Directors for Sisal Group S.p.A. and Sisal S.p.A. Since December 2019, he has been sitting on the Board of Directors for SisalPay Group S.p.A., SisalPay S.p.A., and SisalPay Servizi S.p.A.
He worked as Researcher for the Università degli Studi di Milano, and was designated as Honorary Magistrate.
Finally, he is Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Statutory Auditor, and Solicitor for numerous societies.
Paolo Miretto
Chief Human Resources Officer
Paolo Miretto has been working for what is now the Intesa Sanpaolo Group since 1982. He has held many positions in the HR field – he served as Head of Structures and Commercial Network Support Businesses, was in charge of the Bank of Alexandria (Egypt) integration project, and finally was manager of the territorial structures in the provinces of Milan and Monza Brianza. Since the beginning of 2020, he is Mooney’s Human Resources Officer.
Stefano Parlato
Chief Sales Officier
Stefano Mario Parlato earned an Executive Master of Business Administration degree from Bocconi University. He started collaborating with Sisal Group in 2016 as Sales Director – Sisal Lottery & Services. Since January 2020, he has been Mooney’s Chief Sales Officer. His previous professional experiences have been working for multinational groups, where he held top manager positions. From 2003 to 2015, he was Sales & Marketing Director and Managing Director for Mattel Italy. Before then, he was Sales Director – Italy for Sara Lee, Area Manager – Central & Southern Italy for Bosch, and Mass-Market Retailing Area Manager for Ferrero.
