Stefania Gentile
Chief Executive Officer
Stefania Gentile has been CEO of Mooney since June 2023.
Senior Executive with an established wealth of managerial experience in a variety of areas such as payment services, IT and digital transformation, governance and business in high-complexity organizations.
In her professional career, in addition to consulting at Accenture and PwC, she has worked in major companies such as Intesa Sanpaolo and Nexi, holding roles of increasing responsibility.
She was Managing Director of Setefi, following important corporate operations in the period 2015-2021: from the sale of the company to Bain Capital, Advent International and Clessidra funds, to its transformation into Mercury Payment Services and subsequent integration into the Nexi Group.

Salvatore Borgese
Strategy & External Affairs
Salvatore Borgese has been serving as Strategy & External Affairs since August 2023.
Formerly General Manager Commercial & Banking Services at Mooney, he has held the position of Managing Director in Banca 5 (Intesa Sanpaolo Group) since 2017.
In 2012, Borgese started working for ICBPI (now Nexi) as Payment Services Director, while, at the same time, also serving as member on the boards of EPC (European Payments Council), ECC (European Clearing Cooperative), Bancomat, CBI, and CIPA.
In 2004, at Value Team – Value Partners Group (now NTT DATA), he was Senior Vice President and CEO in Financial Services. His professional career started off in Cassa di Risparmio di Torino (now UniCredit).
In 2009, he graduated with a Master’s Degree in International Executive Programme from INSEAD Business School. He is currently a member of the faculty at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan, teaching a Master’s Program in Digital Innovation & Fintech. Here, he also serves as a member of the Board for CeTIF Academy – Banking Division. Furthermore, he is a member of the APSP Board (Associazione Prestatori Servizi Pagamento – Payment Service Provider Association).

Matteo Concas
Digital, Innovation & Experience Director
Matteo Concas has been Mooney’s Digital, Innovation & Experience Director since August 2023.
Formerly General Manager Digital & Mobility Services, following the deal between Mooney and Enel X in July 2022, he joined Enel in 2020 as General Manager and Global Head Digital Banking Solutions of Enel X Pay.
In July 2018 Matteo launched his own startup Penta, the digital bank for SMEs later acquired by French rival Qonto. Previously, he worked at Berlin-based digital bank N26 in 2017 as General Manager Italy, and Head of Growth Europe.
At Zaoui & Co boutique, in 2013, he became senior associate in 4 years serving as M&A advisor to big tech companies such as Alcatel Lucent and Nokia.
His career began in 2010 in management consulting at BPI, before joining M&A investment banking in London in 2012 at JP Morgan in the Technology Media and Telecom team.
With a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, he earned a Master’s degree in Management with specialization in Corporate Finance and Corporate Law in Paris from ESCP Business School.

Roberto Taddei
Chief Financial Officer
Roberto Taddei graduated in Business Administration from Università degli studi “Roma Tre”.
He began his professional career in 2003 in Atlantia Group, within Administration and Control, to continue in 2008 in Fendi (LVMH Group) as Finance Manager.
He joined Enel in 2010, helding different roles in Administration and Planning & Control, including Finance Manager of the Group’s Europe area and Head of Administration & Finance in Enel Russia (Moscow) in 2012. He returned to Italy in 2015, holding increasingly important positions in Enel, first as Head of Group Financial Control, and later as Head of the Budget and Industrial Planning area.
He has been Mooney’s Chief Financial Officer since September 2022.

Daniele Savarè
Chief Technology and Data Officer
Daniele Savarè has a degree in Electronic Engineering at the University Politecnico of Milan. In 2014, he attended the Leadership Program at the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Lausanne and, in 2016, a Digital and Innovation Program at the European Institute for Business Administration (INSEAD) in Fontainebleau.
He began his career in 1997 at Accenture in the field of technological transformation, before moving first to McKinsey and then, in 2010, to Unicredit, where he held increasingly important positions in the IT and Operations area: Payments Area Manager, Infrastructure Manager, and lastly Head of Group ICT Security. In 2017, he was Head of the Information Systems Area at CSE (Consorzio Servizi Bancari), while in 2018 he joined SIA as Head of Service Line Payments, to become just a year later Head of Innovation & Business Solutions, in charge of innovation and digital development at Group level. He was appointed Chief Technology and Data Officer at Mooney in February 2022.

Andrea Compagnone
Chief Human Resources Officer
Andrea Compagnone has a degree in Social and Political Sciences from Genoa University.
After beginning his career at Banca Primavera in 2001, Compagnone joined Banca Intesa the following year and held several positions in Human Resources before becoming in 2018 Head of Personnel and Network Assistance Co-ordination, Liguria, at Intesa Sanpaolo Group.
In 2019, he was appointed HR Manager at Exelia S.r.l., an Intesa Sanpaolo Group company based in Brasov, Romania.
He has been Chief Human Resources Officer at Mooney since the beginning of 2022.
